Work can be a passion, a joy, more lasting than any love affair--if it's your real work. Of course, your real work may or may not bring in a lot of money. It's a balancing act, and can be a difficult one to master.
And then, many of us keep our struggles with money a secret, sometimes even from ourselves. We'd rather not know exactly what the situation is, because then we can sort of ignore it and not have to take responsibility for improving it.
Did you know that a large percentage - I have read 80%-90% - of American women (whether currently married and financially secure or not), will at some time in our lives become wholly responsible for our own financial welfare?
Focus, clarity, and courage are the bywords here. Do you know how much money you need to live on, now and into the future? Do you know how much you are earning, and whether it is enough? Do you know how you are spending your money? Are you saving? Do you know exactly what the work is that you want to be doing?
If you are like most of us, following the answers to these questions is the royal road towards cleaning up some of the stickiest, messiest, scariest corners of your life. Not easy, but the order you create is well worth the labor, and will lead to big positive changes in your life. Ready?
