“Be as sceptical as you want. But if you follow this program, you’ll still get out of debt. These are not simply theoretical ideas. They’ve been tested and proven over the last ten years by thousands of men and women who have already used them to free themselves from debt and thousands more who are using them right now to do the same thing. You can too. This program works. It’s that simple.”

Based on Debtors Anonymous principles, this is a straightforward look at why we get into debt and what to do to get out of it. This is not just a money book. Mundis is a kind and comforting guide who understands the emotional reactions of guilt and fear we have when we realize that our behavior indicates that we can’t trust ourselves to be entirely responsible with money. He spends a good part of the book addressing these feelings and how to overcome and reframe them so they stop blocking the ability to act.

He also gives excellent practical advice about negotiating with creditors, paying back debts, living without reliance on credit. I read a lot of books about debt and thought this oldie was the best.
