Machaelle Small Wright Revised edition 1997 http://www.perelandra-ltd.com
To give the reader a background for the real story, Wright includes an objectively told but nevertheless riveting memoir of growing up with two irresponsible and self-absorbed parents, and the solutions she worked out for herself. Understanding the degree to which she was forced to learn early how to rely on herself gives a sense of how she had the confidence to persist in listening to her intuition and ultimately to develop a most unconventional relationship with Nature. If you are a devotee of organic gardening, if you were ever intrigued by the Findhorn story, if you want to deepen your sense of connection with nature and live lightly on the planet, this is for you. But more than that, you can learn what she has been taught about the balance of human and nature energy and how objects and experiences are manifested into physical reality, and how to apply the principles to your own life.
She says: In 1976, I decided I wanted to become a student of nature and be taught by nature. I immediately discovered that there is an extraordinary intelligence inherent in all forms of nature—plant, animal, mineral, etc; that contained within this intelligence are the answers to any question we could possible have about nature—its specific rhythms, its true ecological balance, how this balance can be achieved with the help of humans (and in some cases, despite our interference), the deeper role nature plays on Earth, its various relationships with mankind. This information is just sitting there for us. All we have to do is decide we want to hear it—which can at times be a gutsy decision on our part, since what nature has to teach is not always the easiest thing to take in—and to learn how to tap into and receive the information.
This is not airy-fairy stuff—Wright is straightforward and down-to-earth, as it were, and she has been developing her communications with nature and her processes for working with nature for long enough so that there are clear procedures. She (according to nature) recommends using formulas and flower essences that provide specific energetic frequencies to make the work easier, but you can also work without these. She covers plant gardens and also what she calls “soil-less gardens,” which is everything else that humans create—projects, jobs, institutions—everything. I am by no means accomplished at this, but I have experimenting with these processes for perhaps a year with very good results.
She also teaches Kinesiology, or muscle-testing, in this case self-testing, as a way to communicate with nature for those who do not hear voices or see energy from other levels of reality (that's most of us!). Learning to self-muscle test is an extraordinarily useful tool for life in general, because the energy systems of our bodies know what is good for us and what is not when our brain's often don't .
