The research Oschmann covers shows great potential for using energy methods for treating all kinds of physical and emotional ailments, but it also indicates a high probability of a negative influence on health from the unregulated development and spread of electrical systems and technology using low-frequency electromagnetic fields, such as computers, microwaves and cell phones.
This book is an introduction to the research, heavily footnoted so you can follow up on any aspect that interests you. A layperson will get enough information from careful reading to understand the basics of complex biological/energetic systems that are still in the process of being mapped. That these energies exist is an old story for ancient practices like acupuncture and energy healers, but it is the first time we have had the instrumentation to measure and quantify what actually happens and to theorize about the interaction of these fields.
