We are 100% physical bodies, and we are 100% energy bodies. The first “half” of the health picture is experiencing the body as a physical entity that needs certain nutrients, protection from toxins, enough sleep, and exercise. In its more “mechanical” aspect, the body needs a foundation of good treatment to function optimally - it needs to be fed the nutrients that fuel it, not just any old thing the mind craves; it needs both rest and movement in the right amounts.
Not so complicated, and we even know a lot now about exactly what the body needs. Except that in the last few decades we have strayed so far from the behavior patterns of our forebears that these essentials are not so easy to find. Processed food, pesticide-laden produce, livestock that is fed all kinds of things that animals were not designed to eat, environmental toxins, electric lights and late-night TV which cut down our sleep hours, driving instead of walking, sedentary occupations, a bath of electromagnetic emissions, mean we are immersed in habits that are at odds with what our bodies require to maintain good health.
So, what else is new? Well, that we can get away with this to some extent while we are young, but not after we pass 50. You just gotta start taking it seriously - really seriously. We're going to end up in the same place - but how we get there and how good we feel along the way for most of us is still up for grabs.

If your health is not so great now, chances are good that you can improve it and then maintain it. Most chronic illness is caused by lifestyle, especially including old emotional toxins hanging around that are affecting the ability of your body to heal.
Integrated with the physical body is a whole complex energy system, or series of systems, that, in my opinion, is at least as important to feed and maintain as the physical system.
First, the physical. Remember, this is only half the equation. The goal here is to provide basic information all in one place. A lot of this is from Mercola, because he stays on top of every development and he is generous with free information.
